Schrey & Veit took part at the innovation project I-LENA

At the end of 2020, a large-scale project completes, where a couple of innovative products had also been tested by Schrey & Veit: New and ApplicationOriented Noise Remediation Testing Initiative (Initiative Lärmschutzerprobung neu und anwendungsorientiert, I-LENA).

Main target is to field-test new approaches for remediate the railway noise and to quantify their noise reduction. Executive partner is German infrastructure manager DB Netz, the project costs is funded by German Ministry for Traffic and Digital Infrastructure.
From all submitted approaches, four of Schrey & Veit ideas had been chosen, installed at the track and tested. Among others products, the well-known rail damper VICON AMSA has been tested at new conditions. This allows to check its noise reduction at further track sites, where up to now no acoustic measurement results had been available.
